DISCLAIMER: We were provided a copy of this game for the purposes of this review. This is a retail copy of the game, so what you see in these photos is exactly what would be received in your box. I do not intend to cover every single rule included in the rulebook, but will describe the overall game flow and major rule set so that our readers may get a sense of how the game plays. For more in depth rules, you may purchase a copy online or from your FLGS.  -T

Wilson & Shep is a “one-versus-all” game where the one player will be a wolf in sheep’s clothing hiding amongst his prey (or if playing with children, just trying to blend in?) while the other players control Shep, the dog bent on finding and scaring away Wilson. Each round of play has the Wilson player hiding his token in the 4×4 grid of sheep while the Shep players hide their eyes. Then, Wilson will trade two adjacent tokens (ANY adjacent tokens) before the Shep players execute their turn. Shep will begin the game on any sheep token, and on his turn, will move to any adjacent sheep token, flipping it face-up in the process. If a normal sheep is flipped Shep rests on it until his next turn. If it is Wilson, the Shep players win the round and earn themselves one bone award token each! Play continues in this fashion until either 1) the players are done playing or 2) the game ends according to the rules per number of players.

Kids games have gotten soooooo good recently. No longer are parents forced to play Chutes & Ladders, Candy Land, and Scene It. Now, we can play interesting games with our children and all players find great times bonding together over games. Such is the case here, and I find this one is pretty darn good! Pick up a copy from your FLGS if they stock it, or head to Blue Orange Games to grab a copy today!
